Library Covid
The Franco Library collections include nearly 100,000 physical items consisting of books, periodicals, DVDs and other items. Additionally, video tutorials, over 200,000 eBooks, 46,000 electronic journal titles and 125 research guides are available via the library website. The library offers a variety of technology-enhanced study spaces including group study rooms, quiet study spaces and collaborative work areas. There are over 20 million journal articles available from the library, but that number is only a portion of all articles that have ever been published. To better facilitate fast, easy and reliable requesting of articles from beyond CBU’s collections, the library has adopted RapidILL. RapidILL is built into existing systems, so those who already submit requests don’t need to change anything. Each database contains thousands of articles which you can search quickly. The library is responsible for the acquisition, organization, access and maintenance of information sources in all formats. Residential and non-residential students can reserve a study space in the Library. Virtual Storytime
Unlike our other bags and kits, the items in your Pick-a-Topic Takeaway Bags may have different due dates and late fee amounts. This is because your bag is not a cataloged item, but a collection of individually cataloged items assembled and checked out for you by a librarian. Your check out receipt, included in your bag, will list the due dates for each item. Patrons returning materials should place them in one of the two book drops.

To enroll, visit odysee.com and sync during sign up or or from the Upload > Sync my Channel option. The enrollment page will validate that you own your channel and that you agree to the terms of the LBRY YouTube program. You will also need to confirm your email.
Library staff member stationed at the east entrance will deliver materials to assigned table where patron will pick them up. Library staff member will answer the phone, checkout items to patron, and assign either Table 1 or 2 outside for hold pickup. Once we have your information, you will receive a limited use card number and can checkout and or place three items on hold. If you already have a library card, you do NOT need a limited use library card. A digital card cannot be used to reserve Discovery Passes. You must be 16 years or older to sign up for a library card yourself; parents may register children under 16. Please place all returned items in book drops; do not leave on the Curbside Delivery table.

Book drops are open at all three branch library locations. You can return any Chula Vista Library items you may still have at home to any of our three branches through the book drops. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols we will quarantine all returned items and it will take up to 7 days for you to see changes reflected in your account.
